About

Tiffany Gerred

On February 11, 2021, we lost Tiffany Gerred in the 135 car pileup in Fort Worth, TX.  At the young age of 34, Tiffany leaves behind her 12-year-old daughter.  Through this tragedy, a gap was recognized in the access to counseling services available to children who lose a parent at a young age.  The Gerred family would like to honor Tiffany Gerred by expanding support to more kids in desperate need of grief counseling services.
About

The WARM Place

The WARM Place is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency that provides peer-support groups for children and their families after the death of a loved one. Founded in 1989, The WARM Place has companioned over 40,000 children and their families along their grief journey. Our program, led by trained volunteers, provides a safe environment for children to express feelings and emotions as well as the opportunity to meet with children and families who are experiencing situations similar to their own.

Our mission is to provide year-round grief support services to children ages 3 ½ to 18 and their families, as well as young adults ages 19 to 25, who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Families are never charged a fee for our services, there are no geographical limitations, and no time limits - families are welcome to participate as long as the children are receiving benefit from the program.
